Gluten Free Beauty on a Budget

Lauren-Lucille Vasser, The Glutino Beauty Guru

I am LOVING Celiac Disease Awareness month! It’s a time to learn and spread awareness about Celiac Disease. As a part of the cause, Glutino has been sharing tons of fabulous information and resources, from where to start the gluten free journey, to tips on gluten free grilling! Today, it’s all about gluten free beauty products and how you achieve the gluten free look while staying within your means. While this may sound a little daunting, it’s totally doable (trust me)! The good news is that I’ve done the research (you know, the reading, the applying… the reapplying) to help you stretch your hardearned dollar and help you look and feel like a million bucks. ! To get you started, here are my top ten gluten free cosmetics that won’t break the bank:

  1. FOUNDATION: Joelle Cosmetics – These silky, mineral foundations are $10 a bottle + FREE shipping!! Plus they are anti-aging and go on very smoothly.
  2. BLUSH: Joelle Costmetics – These shimmery mineral blushes are $7 and also include FREE shipping. The shimmer adds an extra oomph to your everyday look.
  3. EYE LINER: Revlon Colorstay is $4.99 at Target! This eyeliner really lasts on my eyes and opens them up; I dig it.
  4. MASCARA: Maybelline Volume Express – This long-lasting mascara is just $5.09 at Target. It comes with a great wand that makes my lashes look really full, that’s what a girl wants!
  5. LIP GLOSS: Joelle Cosmetics – These lip-smacking glosses are $6.00 each + FREE shipping. Not only are there some wonderful colors to choose from, these glosses are extremely moisturizing.
  6. HAIRSPRAY: Garnier Fructis – You can find this great smelling hairspray for under $4.00 at Walmart. This hairspray is amazing, it flexibly holds your locks in place all day without giving you helmet hair. Nobody looks good with helmet hair. 😉
  7. FACE WASH: Oil of Olay face wash – This gentle face wash is under $6 and can be found at Walgreens, CVS and Walmart. I’m a fan of Oil of Olay products because they rock at deeply cleansing the skin.
  8. BODY WASH: Dove Body Wash – This moisturizing body wash is always around $5.50 at Target, Walmart, CVS and Walgreens. Dove products are easy to find and gentle on the skin.
  9. SHAMPOO and CONDITIONER: Suave shampoos and conditioners are usually around $3 a bottle! You can find them at most major grocery stores and convenience stores. The natural collection is my favorite.
  10. BODY LOTION: Burt’s Bee’s – These lovely lotions range from $5-8 a bottle. You can find them at Walgreens, CVS and Target. This lotion is super moisturizing!

I hope this helps you on your next beauty shopping spree!
