“Easy Bruising Due to Vitamin K Deficiency in Celiac Disease”

Easy bruising is a type of bleeding under the skin common in untreated celiac disease patients. This easy bruising results mainly from vitamin K deficiency, due to an induced by malabsorption of nutrients. Vitamin K deficiency impairs the body’s normal ability to form clots in response to bleeding.
