Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp Glutino All-Purpose Flour Mix
  • 1 bag Pretzel Twists or Original Crackers
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 1 Cup whole milk
  • 6 oz sharp cheddar, shredded
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp chili powder
  • 3 pieces cooked, crumbled bacon

Instructions

  1. Add the butter and all-purpose flour mix to a small pot on the stove top at low to medium heat.
  2. Whisk the butter and flour together until the mixture slowly begins to bubble. Once bubbling, continue to whisk for an additional 60 seconds.
  3. Slowly add the milk into the pot and increase temperature to medium heat. Allow the mixture to come to a simmer, all while continuously whisking.
  4. Mixture will begin to thicken. Once it’s thick enough to coat a spoon, turn off the heat but leave the pot on the burner.
  5. Add in the shredded cheddar, one handful at a time, melting and blending in-between handfuls. If needed, turn the heat to low to help the cheese melt. Do not overheat.
  6. Once all the cheese is melted and the mixture is well blended, stir in the salt and chili powder.
  7. If the sauce becomes too thick, simply whisk in an additional splash of milk.
  8. Pour into a serving dish and garnish with the crumbled bacon.
  9. Enjoy with pretzels or crackers!
