Green Bean Casserole Tart (Galette)

Ingredients

For The Crust:

  • 1 box Glutino gluten free pie crust, prepared

For The Fried Onions:

  • 2 large onions
  • 2 cups raw or organic milk
  • 1 dash salt and pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups Glutino all purpose flour mix
  • 1 tablespoon oil

For The Filling:

  • 1 can condensed cream of mushroom or chicken soup
  • 1 teaspoon gluten free soy sauce
  • 4 cans organic green beans
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

For The Crust:

For The Fried Onions:

  • To make the fried onions, begin by slicing onions into thin rings then soak in milk
  • Combine all purpose flour, salt and pepper
  • Heat oil in a large skillet
  • Remove a few onion rings from milk and coat in flour
  • Fry in oil
  • Drain on a paper towel lined plate, set aside

For The Filling:

  • For the casserole filling, combine green beans, gluten free cream of mushroom (or chicken) soup, gluten free soy sauce, salt, pepper and 2/3 cup gluten free fried onions in a big bowl

Assemble:

  • Roll 6 inch diameter pie crust circles out and top with some green bean casserole mixture, set some aside
  • Fold over the edges to make a true galette
  • Top galette with remaining green bean casserole mixture
  • Bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees
